33. IADMS Conference in Columbus, Ohio
From October 12-15, the 33rd IADMS (International Association for Dance Medicine and Science) conference was held in Columbus, OH, USA. This multidisciplinary event focuses on health for dance and dance for health.
The program included presentations and practical sessions on a wide variety of topics including training, medicine, biomechanics, nutrition, didactics and inclusion.
In the presentation session on biomechanics, Elias Wallnöfer presented results from a comparative study between joint loads during normal walking and Latin American dance steps under the title “Can Musculoskeletal Simulations increase our Insights in Dance Biomechanics?”. This project was supervised by Dr. Hans Kainz.
