Biography
Dr. Juliana Exel has a background in biomechanics and a body of work focused on the mechanisms that describe the influence of different environments and contexts in the perception, action and cognition; and its relationship to the adaptive capacity of athletes and physical exercise practitioners. She has expertise in sports technology, biological signal processing, and data visualization.
Prior to arriving at University of Vienna, Dr. Exel completed a Master’s Degree and PhD in Biodynamics of Movement and Sport from the University of Campinas (BRA), with the completion of a Sandwich Doctorate at the University of Massachusetts – Amherst (USA). Additionally, she worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the CreativeLab Research Community of the Research Center in Sports Sciences, Health Sciences and Human Development (POR).
