Ass-Prof Hans Kainz was selected as an OpenSim Fellow
Last week, Ass-Prof Hans Kainz was selected as an OpenSim Fellow by the OpenSim leadership staff from Stanford University (USA). This honor recognizes his deep expertise in biomechanical modeling and simulation and his strong commitment to the OpenSim community. The current group of OpenSim Fellows includes 32 distinguished researchers from around the world, with a broad range of expertise.
OpenSim was developed at Stanford University and is an extensible software package built on decades of knowledge about computational modeling and simulation of biomechanical systems. The OpenSim community is worldwide, diverse and growing. More than 35,000 users have downloaded the software. Ass-Prof Hans Kainz started using OpenSim during his PhD in Australia, has published numerous papers based on musculoskeletal simulations and organized several OpenSim workshops. Most of his students use OpenSim on a daily basis to enhance our insights in healthy and pathological movements.
