ESMAC 2022 conference
Last week Ass-Prof Dr Hans Kainz was in Dublin at the ESMAC conference. The purpose of ESMAC (the European Society for Movement Analysis in Adults and Children) is to stimulate and advance scientific knowledge, professional interaction and the exchange of ideas among Society members relating to movement analysis in adults and children in clinical and research settings.
This year, Dr Kainz together with Dr Sartori from University of Twente organized an invited musculoskeletal modelling seminar. Approximately 50 participants joined the seminar, which included several lectures as well as hands-on examples. The presentation slides and teaching material from the seminar are freely available on the OpenSim confluence website.
Additionally to the seminar, Dr Kainz was involved in the organization of the Early Career Network event, chaired the ‘Modelling methodology’ session and gave a scientific talk about the impact of pathological gait pattern on muscle and joint contact forces in children with idiopathic torsional deformities. The conference abstract of his talk got published in the journal of Gait and Posture.
