🚀 Kicking off the MODEL-CP Project!

We’re thrilled to share that the MODEL-CP Project has officially launched, following a successful kick-off meeting last Friday!

Funded by the Austrian Science Fund FWF, this ambitious project aims to better understand the complex link between neuro-musculoskeletal abnormalities and gait disorders in children with cerebral palsy.

Bringing together an international, interdisciplinary team with expertise in clinical gait analysis, orthopaedics, musculoskeletal modelling, and machine learning, the project will:
🔹 Identify key neuro-musculoskeletal parameters that affect walking
🔹 Evaluate the impact of surgical interventions on these parameters
🔹 Develop an ML-based model to predict surgery outcomes

We’re excited about the journey ahead and look forward to sharing our progress and findings along the way!

Contributors to the project include: Michael Schwartz, Kranzl Andreas, Matthias Zeppelzauer, Brian Horsak, Martin Svehlik, Djordje Slijepcevic, Basílio Gonçalves, Willi Koller, Markus Astl, Laura Rathmair
