National Biomechanics Day at the Department of Sport and Human Movement Science

Our department hosted the National Biomechanics Day on April 4th. The National Biomechanics Day is a worldwide celebration of biomechanics for high school students and teachers. It was initiated by Dr. Paul De Vita in 2017 and has since been celebrated in 45 nations.  In Austria, Dr. Hans Kainz and his research group initiated the event last year. This year, the event was celebrated at the University of Vienna, as well as the University of Graz and University of Innsbruck.

The first group of students arrived with palpable excitement, eager to dive into the fascinating world of biomechanics.
