Neuromechanics Research Group Summer Chill-Out
It was a warm summer’s evening in a small village in Lower Austria. The circumstances for a “Neuromechanics Research Group Summer Chill-Out” couldn’t have been better: end of semester, pleasant weather, wonderful food, relaxed atmosphere. And so we met at Alex’s house to review the last academic year, which was successful on so many levels.
To give you a taste of the “Chill-Out”: in addition to antipasti from the vegetable garden, there were three types of homemade sourdough bread, bull beef (also vegan), rice balls, oven-roasted vegetables and wonderful cakes: pavlova, lemon tart and triple chocolate cherry brownies. Many thanks to Martina for her extraordinary culinary skills. Without her, we would probably have ended up with pizza from the local delivery service, which would have ruined not only our stomachs but also our evening with the culinary equivalent of culture shock.
Yes, it pays to be a member of the Neuromechanics Research Group – and not just from a scientific point of view.
