PhD project of Alex Pürzel got approved

Today Alex Pürzel had his public presentation of his doctoral thesis project.

His PhD project focusses on compensation strategies during squats and deadlifts in powerlifting athletes. For this purpose Alex will collect motion capture data, electromyography signals and medical images from powerlifter.

Based on his presentation today the project got approved by the PhaNuSpo Doctoral School. Additionally, we received ethical clearance for his study this week.

The main data collection for his PhD project will start this summer and we expect to present our first findings at scientific meetings and conference early 2023.
