Biography

Fereshteh (Feri) Sabet is a biomechanist specializing in motion tracking and gait analysis. She holds a Ph.D. in Sports Biomechanics from Bu-Ali Sina University, Iran, where her research focused on the development and biomechanical analysis of novel lateral wedge insoles incorporated into neoprene socks for patients with knee osteoarthritis. Fereshteh possesses extensive experience in musculoskeletal modeling using OpenSim, significantly enhanced during her research visits to the University of Vienna and within our NRG team. She is a recipient of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Seal of Excellence and has been awarded the JESH Fellowship from the Austrian Academy of Sciences, enabling her to continue her research at the Neuromechanics Research Group. Her current focus involves benchmarking and validating subject-specific musculoskeletal models against open-source pipelines for the analysis of knee osteoarthritis gait.
