Biography

Johannes Eichwalder, 24 years old and originally coming from competitive ski jumping, is a student of sports science at the University of Vienna. Currently Johannes is working on his bachelor thesis about the effects of an anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction surgery on ACL loading in different exercises. To be able to calculate the loads, he recorded different ACL typical exercises, (forward walk, forward lunge and star step test) using the Nexus Vicon  system. In cooperation with Dr. Hans Kainz, Johannes calculates the 3D data and visualizes it using musculoskeletal simulations in OpenSIM
