Biography

Laura Rathmair finished her master’s degree in Sports Science at the University of Vienna. Her research includes a validity study on how well OpenCap is able to implement force plates into the analysis of a walking trial compared to the gold standard Vicon system. The title of her master’s thesis was “Estimating Joint Moments During Walking with a Markerless, Smartphone-based Motion Capture System”. 

Laura is now a research assistant at the University of Vienna, working on both the INSIDE-BONE and the MODEL-CP project. At the WCB2026, she will present two posters- one of her master’s thesis an one on the Effect of Gait Modifications on Hip- and Knee Joint Contact Forces in Children.
