Biography
Sander J. van Sintemaartensdijk received his BSc in Sports Science at the University of Vienna. During his time as an undergraduate he worked as an intern and student assistant at the Department of Biomechanics, Kinesiology and Computer Science in Sport where he gained research experience by contributing on a number of biomechanics and neuromechanics studies utilizing Vicon Nexus. Additionally, in 2022 he joined the organizing committee of the 13th World Congress of Performance Analysis of Sport and 13th International Symposium on Computer Science in Sport that took place in Vienna, Austria.
Currently a member of the 2025 class in the research master program in Human Movement Sciences of the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, he joined VUMC Amsterdam as an external research intern. His research focuses on semi-predictive modeling and clinical gait analysis in both typically developing children and those with cerebral palsy.
